Cocoa and dark chocolate, with its high cocoa content, contains a variety of stimulant ingredients for the body as well as the mind:

THEOBROMINE, the “natural cocoa caffeine”: a gentle stimulant to the nervous system; as it is less rapidly assimilated than caffeine, its effects are spread out over a longer period of time;

CAFFEINE: a physical, digestive and cerebral stimulant;

THEOPHYLLINE: a very slight stimulant, adding to the general stimulant effect.

Guarana, a small red fruit from South America, contains guaranine, an ingredient very closely related to caffeine. Guarana is the richest fruit in terms of natural caffeine. Guaranine possesses all the stimulant effects of caffeine. As a psychostimulant, it provides strength and eliminates fatigue over the short term, without the side effects of caffeine such as excitability, nervousness or insomnia. Its effectiveness is gradual since it is more slowly absorbed in the intestine.

Ginger has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for its invigorating properties, providing increased strength and restoring vitality.

DARK CHOCOLATE
Dark chocolate contains the greatest
quantities of cocoa. It is a mixture of cocoa
mass, cocoa butter, cocoa powder, sugar and
lecithin. Most of its nutritional value is
derived from the beneficial properties of
cocoa.

Chocolate containing ingredients
other than cocoa has a lower fiber
content, proportional to the content of cocoa
