Vanilla Cake with a Lovely chocolate lavender drizzle

Can you imagine the smell of a cake freshly coming out of the oven, mixed with a sweet smell of melted chocolate and a floral note of lavender? Don’t wait anymore to recreate this outstanding recipe of Vanilla Cake with Melted Chocolate Lavender made by Pikastaste.


  • 220g spelt flour
  • 150g coconut sugar
  • 1 cup/240 ml almond or oat milk
  • 1/3 cup / 80 ml olive or coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp apple vinegar
  • A pinch of salt



  • Mix all dry ingredients together
  • then add milk, vanilla, coconut/olive oil and vinegar
  • stir until smooth
  • Bake approximately 40 minutes at 175°C, until a toothpick comes out clean
  • Let the cake cool completely. Meanwhile prepare the chocolate lavender drizzle
  • Melt the Chocolate Lavender Bar Newtree and oil using a water bath and then drizzle it over the cake. Sprinkle lavender buds over the drizzle to decorate.
